Heritage

Our team can renovate, repair or extend any heritage home, building, or structure, from Brisbane and surrounds out to rural areas.

In fact, the Chapman family originally built many of Brisbane’s heritage structures including:

  • Oddfellows Hall, Fortitude Valley (as a contractor)
  • Temperance Hall, Brisbane City
  • ‘Therfield’ on Gregory Terrace, Brisbane City (Chapman family home in 1871)
  • 14 of Brisbane’s State Schools
  • The first Nundah Police Station, Nundah
  • Jubilee Tank, Nundah (recreational hall)
  • Queensland National Bank, Albion and Fortitude Valley
  • ‘Kingsleigh’ residence, Wilston
  • Wilston Methodist Church

We respect the history and tradition of the buildings we work with and invest time in liaising with our clients to ensure their vision is met.

We’ve recently been involved in the preservation and restoration of the following buildings:

  • The Old Museum, Bowen Hills
  • The Theosophical Society, Spring Hill
  • Queen Alexander Home, Coorparoo
  • Glengallen Homestead, Warwick

Our list of heritage projects is extensive. We also renovate and add extensions to many heritage family homes. Home owners choose Chapman Builders for their renovation projects due to our specialised experience.
